The cost of living

   Inflation is the increasing price of goods. It can affect a lot of people espcially those whp are experiencing poverty and low-income families. As prices rise, budget gets tighter and even when buying basic needs like food, shelter, and clothing makes it increasingly difficult. 

   This is a big problem for families with a minimum-wage income. Some parents have 2 jobs just to survive and support their families, however, this isn't enough to sustain their daily needs.

   Base on the Philippine Statistics Authority, (PSA), on September 2025 the Philippines rate of inflation had increased from 1.5 percent to 1.7 percent. Inflation also increases poverty rate, one of the examples are reduced purchasing power. Which means you can buy less goods with the same amount of money. 

   There are two reasons of inflation, first is demand-pull inflation and second is cost-push inflation, demand-pull inflation is when the consumers demands for more product than the suppliers can afford. While, cost-push inflation is when the cost of producing products increases. 

    We, filipinos are struggling almost everyday because of inflation. we buy the same product but different amount of money, this affects everyone especially those who are poor. The government should do something about this by lowering production costs for businesses and reduce overall demand in the economy, because of this buyers wont struggle about the price. 

    We should also do something about this by budgeting our money and only buying things we need such as foods not what we want, because of this we wont struggle that much anymore.

   Inflation is a threat to filipino families, but its a challenge that we can overcome

By implementing sound monetary and fiscal policies, investing in sustainable agriculture to ensure food security, and strengthening social safety nets to protect our most vulnerable citizens.
